Summer Recreation

As we all know the summers have gotten hotter, and the heat waves are more consistent due to climate change. I remember a few years back, coming from the car port I would hear the children screaming, laughing, and enjoying the cool blue water right here on our property. I’m sure for many parents and residents to be able to go down stairs and take a dip at your leisure was one of the many amenities that made us want to live here. But now things have changed and those sounds of happiness are mute. In the meantime, I’ve been exploring other options, like NYC Parks Department. There are many free events and also free city pools. The nearest pool to Esplanade Gardens is Jackie Robinson pool, located at 85 Bradhurst Ave NY, NY 10039. This pool is open daily from 11AM to 7PM, closing from 3-4PM for pool cleaning. It is an Olympic size pool, and they also have a playground and splash pad for younger children. NYC PARKS DEPARTMENT has a total of 65 public pools across NYC.
