The Pool Committee is a very sizable and active committee, consisting of new and longtime residents. During the September monthly meeting the committee decided to have a physical walkthrough of the area to assess the progress and share concerns. These were our findings: The depth of the large pool was to start from 3ft up to 6ft; the deepest end of the pool is now 4ft 6inches. The railings and dividers were not installed at the time of our walkthrough. We no longer have benches around either of the pools. The pool shed needed to be painted and previously had some roofing issues, not sure if that was addressed.
The large pool has a ramp for those who may be unable to use the stairs (handicap accessible). For those who don’t see the logic in this provision “Wait Until You Get There”. We now have a new filtration system. It is apparent that no communication is taking place regarding the pool. This is unfortunate because some of the issues could have been avoided or properly addressed. Our Pool Committee is determined to do our best to plan, prepare, and make our upcoming pool season fun, memorable, and inviting to our entire Esplanade Gardens family. Please remember the pool is an important part of our unique Harlem identity and contributes to the ambiance.
